Medicare Health Plans

Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C)

A type of Medicare health plan offered by a private company that contracts with Medicare. Medicare Advantage Plans provide all of your Part A and Part B benefits. Medicare Advantage Plans include:

  • Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO)
  • Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO)
  • Medicare Medical Savings Account Plans (MSA)

If you're enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan:
Most Medicare services are covered through the plan.
Medicare services aren't paid for by Original Medicare.

Most Medicare Advantage Plans offer prescription drug coverage.

Each year, Brad Loose, our Licensed Sales Agent, is required to successfully complete Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription Drug recertification.

Some of the plan sponsors we offer include:

Anthem

Aetna

Health Partners (IA Unity Point Health)

Health Partners (WI & ND)

Humana

Network Health

United Healthcare

Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap)

Original Medicare pays for much, but not all, of the cost for covered health care services and supplies. Medicare Supplemental Insurance policies, sold by private companies, can help pay some of the remaining health care cost for covered services and supplies, like co-payments, coinsurance, and deductibles. Medicare Supplemental Insurance policies are also called Medigap policies.

Medicare Prescription Drugs (Part D)

These plans are (sometimes called PDPs) add drug coverage to Original Medicare, some Medicare Cost Plans, some Medicare Private Fee-for-Service (PFFS) plans, and Medicare Medical Savings Account (MSA) plans. You must have Part A and/or Part B to join a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan.
